The Detroit Club feels like old Detroit money in the best way.
Elegant, quiet, polished, and a little mysterious. The kind of place that makes you stand up straighter when you walk in, like you accidentally wandered into a grand hotel from another era and nobody has asked you to leave yet.
It’s mainly a hotel, but there’s a bar downstairs, a restaurant and cigar lounge upstairs, and one of my favorite spas in the city, which is located in the basement of the building. If anyone knows another great spa in Detroit, let me know, because this one is tough to beat.
For the Shooki review, I checked out the restrooms by the Library Bar.
Spotless. Private. Spacious. Exactly what you’d expect from a place that carries itself like this.
The only real callout is accessibility. It’s a historic building, and unfortunately, that comes with some challenges. Not the easiest setup for everyone. 🚫♿️
Outside of that, this restroom was impressive. Clean, classy, and very much on brand with the rest of the place.
Highly recommend stopping in for a drink, then heading upstairs for a cigar if that’s your thing. Great vibe. 👌🏼🚬🍷
