A wine bar and cookbook shop for people who actually read the label, with two of the best-kept rooms in the city behind the shelves.
Wine, wine and wine. This is the place for the true connoisseur — somewhere to bring a date, sink into a comfy chair, and walk the shelves of the book collection between glasses.
If you're the type who wants a bottle you're not going to find anywhere else in the city, or the suburbs, you've found your new home. I've only seen collections like this at a few spots around Detroit: Motor City Wine, Bar Chenin and Ladder 4.
I won't lie to you, it isn't cheap. But life's too short to drink cheap wine anyway.
I'll certainly be back.

They were very clean and they're genuinely spacious — green marbled wallpaper above pale tile, a chevron-framed mirror over a wall-hung sink, framed prints, and grab bars running along two walls.
They even leave feminine products out on the supply cart, alongside a reed diffuser and candles, which is always a nice extra touch.

The staff carry the reviews — knowledgeable staff is named in fourteen of them and the gracious owners in three more — which is what you want from a room where the wine is the point. The books are the other half: the book selection appears in twelve reviews and the cookbook selection in seven, alongside amaro, a curated beer list, cheese plates and the pop-ups they host. Reviewers keep calling it a cozy spot. Of its 91 ratings, 84 are five stars.
