Bar Chenin is a small secret. You find it at the end of a hallway inside the Siren Hotel, and then you're in a candlelit room with roughly ten seats and a wine list built around natural wine.
It's intimate in the literal sense. There's nowhere to hide and nothing to hide from — just candlelight, a short bar, and the feeling that somebody thought hard about every detail in a very small space.
The kitchen is barely a kitchen, and it still turns out real food. I watched pizza, mortadella sandwiches and olive oil ice cream come out of it on my visit.
The catch is the math. No reservations, ten seats, and it filled fast the night I went. That's one night, not a promise about every night — but if you're coming, come early, or order a glass and stand until a seat opens up.
