The Fillmore Detroit is Foxtown royalty — a 1925 theater on Woodward with the chandeliers, the balconies, and the kind of ornate bones you just don't get in newer rooms. Nearly 3,000 people pack in for everything from metal to indie pop, and by all accounts the sound holds up and there's barely a bad sightline in the house. It's one of those venues where the building itself is half the ticket.

Now, the restrooms. This is where the reviews start arguing with each other. Some nights people report clean, well-kept facilities that match the building's looks — one even calls the downstairs restrooms beautiful. Other nights the word is rougher: not enough of them for a full house, and conditions that slide fast once the floor fills up. Fair warning on the layout, too — the main restrooms sit down a flight of stairs, and while there's an ADA restroom off the main lobby, more than one reviewer says accessibility takes some effort. So your experience mostly depends on timing: hit them early and you're probably fine; wait for the encore rush in a sold-out room and you'll pay for it.
