The Aladdin Sane is its own little world. Cozy, moody, warm vinyl in the background, and service that knows what it's doing.
I came over after dinner at Hiroki-San. You can start with dinner, wander across for a cocktail, then head upstairs to Kamper's for a rooftop nightcap without ever stepping outside the building. In a Detroit winter, that's not a detail. That's survival.
I had one Old Fashioned and it was strong. One drink is one drink, though: it isn't a test of the cocktail list, so take it as a single data point.
