Presley's feels like one of those downtown Detroit spots trying to be a little bit of everything. Breakfast. Dinner. Cocktails. Brunch. A place for the hotel crowd, the after-work crowd, the one-drink-before-the-game crowd.
The room has polish, the menu has range, and the location makes sense. You can see why people stop in before a night out or after a show.
That said, nothing really stood out against the bars and restaurants around it. The vibe felt a little mediocre, not especially approachable, and the wine list didn't give me much to get excited about. If I had to sum it up in a sentence: a drink at a hotel lobby bar. Nothing terrible, nothing amazing, just kind of there.
If you're staying at the hotel, grab one and see for yourself. After that I'd keep walking — The Library Bar is nearby.
