Nain Rouge Brewery

Nain Rouge Brewery was one of Detroit's quieter finds — a little Selden Street taproom named after the city's most famous bad-luck legend, and by all accounts it never earned the misfortune branding. The people who found it loved it: eclectic small-batch beers that didn't gouge you, a live-edge wood bar, a small bright indoor room, and a paved courtyard out back that did the heavy lifting on nice days. No kitchen, but Smith & Co next door would send food over, and the weekend-only hours made the whole place feel like a secret you were let in on.

Now, the restrooms. Nobody online wrote love letters to them — but nobody trashed them either. The same reviewers who praised the space kept reaching for words like bright and clean for the room overall, which was a decent sign, even if none of them filed an actual restroom report. This was a small weekend taproom, though, so size your expectations accordingly: serviceable and kept-up was the reasonable bet, not spa-grade, and you weren't going to find extras.
