Southwest Detroit, baby. Right near Clark Park, past El Club, tucked into one of those Detroit stretches where you circle for parking, question your life choices for a second, then walk inside and realize you made exactly the right call.
Depending on the night this place gets busy, so if you're making the drive, lock in a reservation.
Flowers of Vietnam was killer. The steak, the mall chicken, and the grand finale — those caramel chicken wings — were outstanding. The kind of food that makes you stop talking for a minute and just respect what's happening in front of you.
From the outside it doesn't scream big night out. The decor is low-key, maybe even plain at first glance. That's classic Detroit: you walk into a place in an area some people would call dodgy, no theatrics, and halfway through the meal you're asking yourself why you didn't come sooner.
They do have nice touches inside. The back room has good seating, wood wall panels, and lighting that gives the space real mood. That same lighting carries into the restrooms.

- Caramel chicken wings, obviously

- Southwest Detroit before or after El Club

The restrooms sit toward the middle of the restaurant, two private rooms, each marked for anyone to use.
They were clean, they smelled good, and the amber tube lighting from the dining room carries straight through — it gives the whole room a glow that matches the rest of the place. There's a console table with a lantern and candles, a wall-hung sink under a mirror, and grab bars on the walls.
Reasonably accessible from what I could tell. Food was excellent, restroom was solid, and I'll be back.
