Los Galanes
3362 Bagley St, Detroit, MI 48216
The Shooki Review
Los Galanes has been holding down Bagley Street since 1967, when it started as a little taquería, and it's grown into one of Mexicantown's anchor spots. The formula hasn't changed much, and nobody's asking it to: the Botana Galan, sizzling fajitas, handmade tortillas, and margaritas that reviewers keep circling back to. Weekends bring mariachi and Latin dance nights, and the whole room turns into a party — four-thousand-plus Google reviews sitting at 4.4 say the crowd keeps showing up.
Now, the restrooms. The word from reviewers is mostly kind — a few specifically call the bathrooms clean, and one even said they were in really good shape. That's more than plenty of restaurants this busy can claim. But keep expectations in check: this is a big, high-volume spot that's been running for over fifty years, and when the weekend party crowd rolls in, the restrooms are working overtime like everything else. Not every report is glowing, either. Call it serviceable — clean enough on a good night, no modern extras, nothing you'll text anybody about.
Come hungry, get the margarita, and make your restroom run before the dance floor fills up. Los Galanes lands at a 6/10 on Shooki.
