Cork & Gabel's restored historic building felt like it had gained a second life without losing the first during Shooki's May 2026 visit. The patio and Michigan Central view were highlights, and the bar covered Guinness, cocktails, and red wine in a way the reviewer appreciated.
Shooki found the German, Irish, and eclectic food mix broadly approachable and enjoyed conversations with people who knew the building. The wish for an espresso martini made with real espresso is personal.
