Brooklyn Street Local is one of those Corktown spots that just makes sense.
No big ego. No overdone downtown performance. Just breakfast, brunch, lunch, good people, and food that feels like somebody actually cared before it hit the plate.
And I have to say it: this might be the best poutine I've had in Michigan. Rich, messy, comforting, dangerous — the kind of plate you tell yourself you're sharing before realizing the fork hasn't left your hand once.
Some of the best breakfast pricing in Detroit too. Fresh food, local ingredients, friendly service, and you don't walk out feeling like you just financed a small brunch empire. You're right in Corktown, close enough to wander, hit a few shops, grab a drink nearby, and let the day figure itself out.
