Zingerman's Deli

Zingerman’s is the kind of place that reminds you what a deli sandwich is supposed to be.
Not some sad little stack of meat hiding between two pieces of bread. I’m talking about a real sandwich. Stuffed, heavy, slightly unreasonable, and built like something you’d find in New York City.
For my Detroit people, yes, it’s worth the drive. Even if it means crossing into Wolverine territory. ;)
And it’s more than just sandwiches. Fresh bread, cheese, coffee, pantry goods — the whole place feels like an artisan grocery store that got a little out of control in the best way. It’s huge, it’s busy, and if school is in session, be ready to wait in line.
Now, the restroom.
I’ve got to say, I was impressed.
It looks like they have a few options throughout the building, but I reviewed the unisex restroom downstairs. For how busy Zingerman’s was, I expected chaos. Instead, it was spotless.
Baby changing station. Hand dryer and paper towels. Nice scent. Feminine products. Actual thought put into the details.
That’s the kind of stuff that makes a difference.
My only real knock is accessibility. Since the restroom I reviewed was downstairs, it’s not the easiest setup for everyone. 🚫♿️
Outside of that, Zingerman’s did a great job. 👌🏼✨
