Kennedy’s Irish Pub Review & Bathroom Guide
Waterford, Michigan
Restroom aside, this is one of the best Irish pubs you’ll find in Michigan. Great pints. Great food. Great people. Mighty craic.

Restroom aside, this is one of the best Irish pubs you’ll find in Michigan. Great pints. Great food. Great people. Mighty craic.
Kennedy’s might have the best Irish pub decor I’ve seen anywhere in Michigan.
Family-owned since 1972, this place feels less like an Irish-themed restaurant and more like somebody picked up a neighborhood pub in County Kerry and dropped it into Waterford.
Dark wood. Irish memorabilia everywhere. A room full of people who seem like they’ve been coming here forever. The craic was mighty.
And the Guinness?
Proper glass. Proper two-part pour. Thick creamy head. No bubbles. Exactly how it should be.
Yeah, the pint is a little pricey.
I don’t care.
A proper Guinness is worth paying for.
The food deserves a mention too. Fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, corned beef, burgers, ribs—the kind of hearty pub food that makes you order one more pint instead of heading home.
Best for
- Irish pub decor, dark wood and mighty craic
- A proper Guinness in a proper glass with a proper two-part pour
- Hearty pub food that makes you order one more pint
Less ideal for
- A bargain-priced pint — I still thought a proper Guinness was worth paying for
- The men’s restroom’s tight stall and accessibility concerns

Restroom verdict
Relatively clean, but the men’s restroom and tight stall bring the score down. The bar feels like Ireland. The restroom… not so much. 6/10.
- Restroom inventory
- 1 reviewed area — 1 shared men’s restroom; total venue room count unknown
- Review coverage
- I reviewed the men’s restroom. Photos show two urinals, one basin, soap and paper towel dispensers, and one toilet stall with grab rails and toilet paper. Other rooms, full venue inventory and stall lock operation were not established.
- Room reviewed
- One shared men’s restroom from my Kennedy’s Irish Pub visit
- Accessibility status
- Unknown · During my visit, the men’s room raised accessibility concerns and the stall felt tight. Grab rails are photographed, but complete routes, measurements and accessibility compliance were not verified.
- Why this score
- Relatively clean during my visit, but the tight men’s stall and accessibility concerns bring it down. For a pub with this much character, the restroom felt pretty plain. 6/10.
- Layout
- I reviewed the men’s restroom. Complete venue room and fixture totals were not recorded.
- Capacity
- The men’s stall felt tight during my visit. Complete venue room and fixture totals were not recorded.
Now, the restrooms.
Relatively clean, but this is where the score drops.
The men’s restroom isn’t accessible, and the stall is tight enough that comfort becomes an issue. 🚫♿️
The bigger surprise? For a pub with this much character everywhere else, the restroom feels pretty plain.
The bar feels like Ireland.
The restroom… not so much.
