A solid little stop before the beach. Coffee-wise, it didn’t really do it for me. The breakfast sandwiches were the better move: grab one and head toward the water.
Trying to dodge the smoke up north, only to realize it doesn’t feel much different from Detroit.
Still, Sunrise Kava Cafe is a solid little stop.
It sits right in downtown Oscoda, less than a mile from the beach, which makes it easy to grab something, walk toward the lake, and pretend the air quality report doesn’t exist for a little while.
Coffee-wise, I’ve got to be honest—it didn’t really do it for me.
The breakfast sandwiches were the better move. Grab one, take your drink, and head toward the water. That’s probably the best way to experience this place.
Best for
- A breakfast sandwich before heading toward the water
- A convenient stop in downtown Oscoda
- A very clean private restroom during my visit
Less ideal for
- Coffee that really hit the spot for me
