Coreander's Bookstore

Coreander’s is a good-looking little bookstore.

No bar situation like Flyleaf, unfortunately — and yes, I’m still holding out hope that every bookstore eventually realizes books and booze belong together.

But they do have a solid coffee shop, which helps. Grab a drink, wander the store, pretend you’re browsing casually, and then somehow leave with three books you didn’t plan on buying.

The layout is beautiful. Good flow, nice artwork on the walls, plenty to look through, and that quiet bookstore feeling where time slows down a little bit. No chaos. No rush. Just coffee, shelves, and the dangerous belief that you’re about to become a more well-read version of yourself.

Now, the restroom.

They have one private unisex bathroom.

And most of my followers already know what that means — on Shooki, one bathroom can only climb so high. This one maxes out at a 6/10.

That said, the restroom itself was strong. Clean, spacious, smelled nice, had a baby changing station, and was relatively accessible. ♿️

So the bathroom was good. The capacity is what holds it back.

If you’re into checking out nice bookstores around metro Detroit, this one is absolutely worth a visit. Then you can make your way over to Flyleaf and finish the day with a cocktail, like a civilized person.
