Dom Polski Review & Bathroom Guide
Flint, Michigan
No gimmicks. No curated nostalgia. Just the real thing. Cheap drinks, great shuffleboard, welcoming regulars and Polish food made by hand. Na zdrowie, Dom Polski. 7/10.

Flint, Michigan. Yeah, this one’s a deep cut. But that’s the whole point, my friends.
Flint is a city outsiders love to reduce to a headline. The people who stayed know better. Like Detroit, it’s taken its punches, gotten back up, and kept moving through grit, stubbornness, and loyalty. Tough people, but get through that hard exterior, and you might just make a friend for life.
Dom Polski is an old-school Polish members’ club, gloriously untouched by whatever design trend is ruining bars this week. I came here as a kid, and years later, almost nothing has changed. I absolutely love that.
Cheap drinks. Great shuffleboard. Welcoming regulars. Real character, not some carefully manufactured version of it.
Then there’s the food. For my Rolly Pollys, Polish grandmas are in the back making the good stuff by hand: sausage, pierogi, gołąbki—you name it. Dom Polski can hold its own against some of our favorite Polish institutions back in Hamtramck.
Best for
- Cheap drinks, great shuffleboard and welcoming regulars
- Old-school Polish members’ club character
- Handmade sausage, pierogi and gołąbki
Less ideal for
- Expecting fancy restroom amenities
