Glad to see this place is still kicking.
I remember coming here years ago, back when Corktown didn’t have quite as many options, and UFO had its own weird little universe going on. Kind of like a dive bar you’d stumble into in Seattle — hot dogs, a photo booth, cheap drinks, and a room full hipsters watching silent black and white movies while a fog machine was blowing.
These days, it looks like they’ve upgraded the kitchen and added a pretty cool rooftop, which is a nice touch. I also wasn’t expecting the beer selection to be as solid as it was. Plenty of imported options, which I always appreciate. 👌🏼🍻
Now, the restrooms.
I’ve got to say, I was actually surprised in a good way.
They have two private unisex restrooms, and both seemed relatively clean and well kept. Nothing fancy, but solid enough.
The main knock here is the amenities. Pretty bare minimum setup, and I’m never a huge fan of hand dryers with no paper towel option.
Still, for a divey Corktown spot, the restroom situation was better than expected.
UFO lands at a 6/10.

Google reviewers describe UFO Bar (the former UFO Factory) as a laid-back indie Corktown hangout with creative hot dogs, a rooftop deck, and friendly bartenders, though a couple mention slow service. Note: UFO Bar closed permanently at the end of June 2026, and the space is set to reopen as Detroit Vinyl Bar under new ownership.
