Tigris Review & Bathroom Guide

Detroit, Michigan

Coffee. Wine. Cocktails. Vinyl. A room with some soul. I stopped in for coffee during the day, and this one actually delivers. Strong room. Strong concept. Strong Shooki.

Shooki’s Review of Tigris

Detroit needed this.

Places like Tigris remind you what this city actually is. A music city. Always has been. We crave it, we bleed it, we make it.

And for years, I’ve wanted a place like this.

Coffee. Wine. Cocktails. Vinyl. A room with some soul. A place you can slip into in the daytime for a coffee and imagine how the whole thing mutates after dark.

Selfishly, I wanted it in my neighborhood too.

And somehow, here we are.

Tigris moves into a spot that, in my opinion, has felt cursed for a while, and basically says: yeah, no — we’re staying.

I love that.

I’ll admit, when a place starts looking too trendy on Instagram, I get nervous. Usually that means the room photographs better than it lives.

But this one? This one actually delivers.

I stopped in for coffee during the day, so I can’t fully speak to the nighttime version yet, but let’s not kid ourselves — this place feels like it’s about to become a hotspot.

And honestly, it should.

Best for

  • A daytime coffee in a room with soul
  • Music, vinyl and the sound room I loved
  • Two private unisex restrooms reported during my visit

Less ideal for

  • Treating my daytime visit as a review of the nighttime experience

I have not established both interiors, further building room inventory or door lock operation. Gallery photos are unedited full-frame still extractions from my July 2, 2026 reel; original still photos were not available.

Now, the restrooms.

From what I saw, they covered capacity with two private unisex restrooms.

Spacious. Clean. Relatively accessible. Nice amenities. Decent decor. The kind of restroom where some of you weirdos are probably already lining up for mirror selfies.

Though let’s be real — if you’re going to take photos, the sound room is the real move. That space is sick and doesn’t really look like anywhere else I’ve been in Detroit.

Tigris lands at an 8/10.

Strong room. Strong concept. Strong Shooki.
