Out on Dix in Southwest, and the kind of place locals name before anyone mentions Mexicantown. Street tacos, al pastor, chicharrones, enchiladas under salsa verde, whole tilapia if you are in the mood. Tortillas made fresh with certain dishes, salsa in mild and not-mild, margaritas worth ordering. Plenty of free parking, which matters more here than downtown.
