For Shooki, Ottava Via feels like home. It has become part of the routine: familiar, steady, and comfortable in its own identity.
The walls, music, lighting, sauce, and service all feel considered—not overdone, not pretending, just dialed in. During the holidays, it feels like Corktown’s dinner table. From the restaurant, vibe, and service standpoint, Ottava Via is Shooki’s favorite restaurant in Detroit.

The Shooki Bathroom Review
First-party restroom record · Reviewed June 2026
Restroom verdict
Four restrooms cover capacity well overall, but Shooki’s move is the two private gender-neutral rooms in the back-left dining room for the cleaner, more stylish experience.
- Restroom inventory
- 4 total — 2 private gender-neutral rooms, 1 men’s restroom, and 1 women’s restroom
- Review coverage
- Detailed observations recorded for 3 of 4 restroom areas. 1 women’s restroom identified but not reviewed
- Room reviewed
- Two private gender-neutral restrooms and the men’s restroom
- Why this score
- The private gender-neutral rooms felt newer and cleaner and raised Shooki’s previous rating; the men’s room was not always as clean as the others.
- Layout
- Two private gender-neutral restrooms are in the back-left dining room, with separate men’s and women’s rooms near the back entrance.
- Capacity
- Four restrooms cover capacity well overall, although the men’s room can get busy.
Shooki found two private gender-neutral restrooms in the back of the dining room to the left of the bar. They felt newer and cleaner, looked stylish, and smelled great; they also raised Shooki’s previous rating.
There are two more restrooms near the back entrance, one men’s and one women’s. The men’s room can get busy and is not always as clean as the others. Shooki’s move is to use the private rooms in the back-left dining room for the better experience.
