The Shooki Review

Visited June 2026

Strong coffee. Sweet treats. A room where you can actually sit down, open the laptop, and pretend you’re not three emails away from losing your mind.

Qahwah House gets it.

This is that Dearborn coffee culture at full volume — bold coffee, warm spices, pastries calling your name from behind the glass (Bee bite!), and enough energy in the room to make you want to stay longer than you planned.

For anyone looking to work remotely, hang out, or just post up with something stronger than your average sad chain coffee, this is a solid move.

And then came the restrooms.

Two private restrooms — male and female. I reviewed the men’s.

Spacious. Accessible. Clean. Well kept. ♿️✨

And then, the Shooki first.

A Tushy bidet 🚿✨

That alone puts Qahwah House high on the board. A proper bidet setup in a coffee shop restroom? Respect. That’s the kind of detail I did not expect, but absolutely appreciate.

The only knock: no paper towels. Just a hand dryer, and my followers already know I’m not the biggest fan of that move.

But still, this was a great Shooki.

Clean, accessible, spacious, and the first Tushy sighting in Shooki history.

Qahwah House lands at an 8/10.

What Google Reviewers Say

9.4/10

4.7 on Google · 1,939 reviews

Widely praised as the original Qahwah House location, reviewers highlight the authentic Yemeni coffee, traditional tea, pastries, and pure Sidr honey, with a strong ambiance for hanging out. A minority of reviews mention the space feeling small and tables close together, and occasional unfriendly staff, though feedback skews heavily positive.
