Conor O’Neill’s is an absolute riot.

Right there in the heart of Ann Arbor, this place knows exactly what it is: a proper Irish pub built for pints, noise, soccer, music, strangers becoming friends, and the kind of beautiful chaos that makes you forget you only planned on staying for one.

I stopped in for a World Cup match, and the craic was mighty.

The room had life. People watching, shouting, drinking, laughing — the kind of pub energy you hope for when you walk into a place like this. No sterile sports-bar nonsense. No fake Irish theme-park feeling. Just a room full of people locked into the moment.

And the pints?

Very strong.

Not quite touching my Gaelic League and Cannon’s people, but I’d comfortably put Conor’s in the top 5 Guinness contenders I’ve had in Michigan. The cream test passed. And as my followers know, I don’t take that lightly. 🍻

Now, the restrooms.

I’ve got to say, I was shocked in the best way.

College town. World Cup match. Everyone drinking. High traffic. The kind of setup where plenty of restrooms would wave the white flag by halftime.

But these held up.

They have two restrooms — male and female. I reviewed the men’s, of course.

Relatively clean, spacious, good capacity, and arguably accessible. They even had a baby changing station! That’s a strong performance considering the battlefield they were operating in.

If you’re looking for great craic, great pints, and a restroom that can survive a proper match day, this might be one of your best World Cup spots.
