Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab Review & Bathroom Guide
Chicago, Illinois
Joe’s is one of my favorite stops in Chicago. Service was top notch. The craic was alive. Food and drinks were right where they needed to be.

Joe’s is one of my favorite stops in Chicago. Service was top notch. The craic was alive. Food and drinks were right where they needed to be.
Joe’s sits right there at Rush & Grand, in the middle of all that Chicago movement, doing what great old-school restaurants do best: feeding people properly, pouring drinks properly, and making the whole thing feel like top class.
Back at it in Chicago, my friends.
The weather couldn’t be better, the city couldn’t feel more alive, and best of all, I got to watch my Tigers win here earlier this week.
Chicago is flowing with great spots, and honestly, it’s hard trying to hit them all at once. I’ve been spending plenty of time in the Irish pubs chasing proper Guinness pours — more on that soon — but Joe’s is one of my favorite stops in the city.
Just know, I’m not the only one who knows about this. This place gets packed. You may need to elbow your way into a seat like it’s a contact sport. I got lucky, met a woman whose kids go to U of M, and latched onto her table.
Clutch.
Chicken wing appetizer — YOU NEED THESE. Stone crab. Champagne, my friends.
Service was top notch. The craic was alive. Food and drinks were right where they needed to be.
Highly recommend checking Joe’s out while you’re in Chicago — or at any of their other locations.
And when a place this busy can still keep a 10/10 Shooki, that deserves respect. 🫡🚽
Best for
- A proper Chicago meal, stone crab and those chicken wings
- Champagne and top-notch service
- A busy restaurant taking restroom cleanliness seriously
Less ideal for
- Counting on an easy seat when the place gets packed

Restroom verdict
Super clean. Someone was constantly checking, tidying, and keeping the place dialed in. And when a place this busy can still keep a 10/10 Shooki, that deserves respect.
- Restroom inventory
- At least 5 identified — 2 private gender-neutral rooms and 3 restroom area (designation unknown)s
- Review coverage
- I reviewed one private restroom interior with one toilet and basin, soap, stocked paper towels, a hand dryer, seat covers, toilet paper, grab rails and a folded baby changing station. A photograph shows two separate doors with combined male/female and wheelchair signage; only one distinct interior is documented. My caption reports 5+ restrooms and private rooms during the visit. That is a minimum visit report, not a complete room inventory or a claim that I reviewed every room. Full building inventory, other room interiors and door lock operation were not established. A cleaning checklist photographed during the visit is dated July 23; it supports the cleaning setup, not a new review date. The inventory therefore records two signed all-gender rooms and at least three additional rooms from my caption, with those additional designations and interiors unrecorded.
- Room reviewed
- One private all-gender restroom from my Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab visit
- Accessibility status
- Unknown · The restroom was accessible during my visit, and grab rails, a changing station and wheelchair door signage are photographed. Complete routes, measurements and accessibility compliance were not verified.
- Why this score
- Super clean during my visit, with someone constantly checking and tidying. I reported 5+ restrooms, private restrooms and amenities on point. 10/10.
- Layout
- Photos show two signed all-gender restroom doors and one distinct private restroom interior I reviewed. My caption reported 5+ restrooms across the venue; exact venue room and fixture totals were not recorded.
- Capacity
- I described 5+ restrooms and capacity covered during my visit. The exact total was not recorded.
Welcome to the 10/10 club, @joesstonecrab
✨ Super clean. Someone was constantly checking, tidying, and keeping the place dialed in. ♿️ Accessible 🧑🧑🧒 5+ restrooms. Capacity covered. 💅 Amenities on point: toilet seat covers, fresh hand soap, nice paper towels, and private restrooms.
This is how you do it.
In a city as big, busy, and alive as Chicago, keeping restrooms this clean is not luck. That’s discipline. That’s standards. That’s someone in the back actually giving a damn.
